Cutler Time

As the days grow shorter, I have to force myself to spend time outdoors whenever the sun is shining.  so yesterday I took a walk at Cutler Park. Most of the leaves have fallen, and the last bit of water in the swampy ground has been transformed into muddy, crunchy ice crystals. I only took a few photos; this one is my favorite. It might be pin oak (Quercus palustris) or scarlet oak (Q. coccinea). [original post from November 20, 2014, published on March 5, 2015]
